The New York Stage & Film Honored Patricia Wettig(Playwright & Emmy Award winning actress), Ken Olin(Executive Director & Producer) & Johanna  Pfaelzer (NYSF's Artistic Director ) on its 34th Annual Winter Gala in New York City…..!

NEW YORK, NY(SMIWIRE,12.09.18)-The New York Stage & Film organization, celebrated its 34th annual winter gala event this evening, honoring renowned American actress and playwright, Patricia Wettig, executive producer and director; Ken Olin & current artistic director; Joahnna Pfaelzer, in recognition for their greatest contributions to the New York Stage and Film, during a cocktail reception, dinner and fundraising benefit at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

 

New York Stage and Film is a non-profit company specializes in helping the emerging and established artists in the development and production of theater and film. It was founded in 1985 and since then, has been a crucial incubator for artists and their work, a real catalyst for stories that start with them and continue across the country and around the world.

The NYSAF main programs includes; Powerhouse Theater Season,

New York City Programming,  Powerhouse Training Program,

Filmakers' Workshop Awards, Fellowships  & Residencies.

Numerous of great works trace their developmental roots to NYSAF, including the 2016 Tony Award winners for Best Musical (Hamilton) and Best Play (The Humans), as well as the Tony Award-winning plays Side Man and Doubt, the Broadway musicals American Idiot and Bright Star, the recently acclaimed The Babylon Line, and the 2017 Pulitzer finalists The Wolves and Taylor Mac's A 24-Decade History of Popular Music.

Patricia Wittig is an American actress, playwright and married to producer, director & actor, Ken Olin , who is also an honoree at the 34th NYSAF annual Winter Gala.

She is best known for her role as Nancy Weston in the television series Thirtysomething(1987–1991), for which she received a Golden Globe Award and three Primetime Emmy Awards.

Other notable television works include the portrayal of Caroline Reynolds in the drama series Prison Break (2005–2007) and Holly Harper in the drama series Brothers & Sisters (2006–2011). She is also known for her roles in the films City Slickers (1991), City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold (1994), and The Langoliers (1995)

 

Ken Olin is an American actor, director and producer from Chicago Illinois. He is known for his starring role on the television series Thirtysomething, and as executive producer, director, and recurring guest star of the television series Brothers & Sisters from 2006–2011.Olin is currently a director and producer of the television series  This Is Us.

Johanna Pfaelzer is currently the artistic director of the New York Stage & Film and will step down in september 01, 2019.
