NEW YORK,NY(SMIWIRE,11.28.18)-The independent film studio; Stonestreet Studios, held its annual Granite Award presentation, honoring Rising-Star American actor; "Danny Ramirez", with the third Granite Award, during a luncheon ceremony at the Taj Restaurant in The Big Apple.

 

The Granite Award is awarded to an actor, director, producer, screenwriter, or hyphenate who has emerged from Stonestreet Studios’ independent film studio that creates and develops content while training. Many emerge as colleagues and continue to create provocative, meaningful, and relevant film and television projects within and without of Stonestreet’s walls.

 

During the photo shoot at the Step &Repeat and prior to the presentation

award ceremony, Starlight Illustrated had the chace to ask couple questions 

to rising star actor " Danny Ramirez ", and this is what he said :

How do you feel to be honor today with the Granite Award ?

"It's a blessing and it feels full circle. I studied here as a student at NYU and they taugh me everything when it comes down to film. They gave me a place to play and really experiment with my craft. It was a priviledge just have all hands on deck all the time and Yea, being able to learn on my craf on a daily day basis." Said  Danny Ramirez about receiving the Granite Award.

 

How many movies have you made so far and will you consider  " Top Gun; Maverick " sequel, the pinnacle film of your young career ?

" I made 8 movies overall, but this one " Top Gun " it's the biggest one so far, it's my second studio movie,  my first one is called " The Valley Girls ", it will come out in 2 months, Assassination Nation came out in September and

" Top Gun 2 " sequel, where I'm currently making alongside Tom Cruise, will be released in 2020." Said Ramirez to Starlight Illustrated.

Danny Ramirez latest film " Assassination Nation ", exhibited at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, then went to the BFI Festival and Toronto International Film Festival before being released theatrically.

In the past year, Ramirez has also been seen in recurring roles on Fox’s The Gifted and Netflix’s On My Block . 2019 will mark the release of feature credits such as Lost Transmissions alongside Simon Pegg and Juno Temple, Silo  with Jim Parrack, and The Giant which reunites him to Assassination Nation  co-star Odessa Young.

In the current production fo Top Gun: Maverick, Ramirez  will play a pilot alongside Tom Cruise, Glen Powell, and inaugural Granite recipient, Miles Teller.And finally, he will also star alongside Vanessa Murano ( Switched at Birth) in Stonestreet Studio’s anthology series  DOT which focuses on women’s rights in each of the 50 states.
